About
Harper Bella is a creative producer, cultural programming leader, and fine art photographer dedicated to transforming communities through storytelling and public art. With over a decade of experience in the non-profit arts sector, she has curated public art installations, organized youth workshops, and produced cultural programs that highlight underrepresented voices while celebrating cultural heritage.
In 2025, Harper is leading the Q31 Film Festival in partnership with the Cinema Arts Centre, a free outdoor film festival in Long Island that transforms Wyandanch Plaza into a vibrant cultural hub. The festival showcases Caribbean and Latinx stories through short films and photography, reflecting her commitment to using film, photography, and public programming as tools for connection, dialogue, and community pride.
Previously, Harper served as Lead Curator at the Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts, where she produced exhibitions, student workshops, and three large-scale public art installations. She has also collaborated internationally, with creative projects ranging from partnering with galleries and shops in Oporto, Portugal, to producing innovative exhibitions in Manhattan, New York.
Through her travels to more than 30 countries, Harper has developed a global perspective that informs her work. Across every project, she brings a distinctive blend of program management, creative direction, community engagement, and arts advocacy, creating cultural experiences that invite audiences to connect, reflect, and see the world differently.
